Choco Malt Waffle

Don’t have a waffle iron on hand? Don’t leave just yet! Though they may end up looking a bit different than classic waffles, you get the same great taste using a grill pan. Take a look at our alternative recipe instructions below!



Ingredients
- 1 cup (117 grams) all-purpose flour
- 1.5 cups (120 grams) Malttime Malt Crunch
- 5 teaspoons (20 grams) sugar
- 4 teaspoons (10 grams) corn starch
- 1 teaspoon (5 grams) baking powder
- 2 small eggs (or 1 large egg)
- 1/2 cup milk (135 ml) milk
- 3 teaspoons (13 grams) vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
With a waffle iron:
1. Mix eggs, milk and vegetable oil together in a bowl
2. Mix and sift all dry ingredients
3. Gently stir all ingredients until the batter is smooth and not lumpy
4. Preheat your waffle maker to medium heat
5. Pour batter (around 230-240 grams) on the waffle maker and bake the waffle around 3-4 minutes
6. Repeat for the remaining waffle(s)
7. Cool before serving
8. Decorate with your favorite fruits, whipped cream and sprinkle with Malt Crunch
Without a waffle iron (in a grill pan):
1. Mix eggs, milk and vegetable oil together in a bowl
2. Mix and sift all dry ingredients
3. Gently stir all ingredients until the batter is smooth and not lumpy
4. Heat up the grill pan to medium and brush it with some butter
5. Pour batter (around 230-240 grams) on the grill pan and bake the waffle around 1-2 minutes until it starts to dry
6. Flip the waffle with a spatula and press down gently to create nice ridges
7. Repeat for the remaining waffles
8. Decorate with your favorite fruits, whipped cream and sprinkle with Malt Crunch
